We met our friends Fred & Lili at the Seattle airport on Tuesday afternoon prior to our 15 hour flight to Dubai. We were then met at the Dubai airport by friends Steve & Nancy who have lived in Abu Dhabi for the past two years. From their beautiful home on the 31st floor of the Ethiad Towers are incredible views of the Emirates palace and the Persian Gulf.
On Wednesday we visited the largest mosque in Abu Dhabi, and in the afternoon went sand dune bashing, camel riding followed by an authentic cook out dinner.
On Friday we attended the HSBC golf tournament in Abu Dhabi. We then drove into Dubai and rode up the Burj Khalifa tower, the tallest building in the world. We then went to a beach on the Persian Gulf to watch the sun set and had a wonderful dinner. Joining us for dinner along with Fred & Lili was a work colleague of Steve's and his wife.
